You care about people and want to help create more positive change in this world. Our Bachelor of Counselling gives you deep insight into how we think and act and why, and ways to help others develop better self-awareness for a more positive path in life. You’ll graduate with the practical skills and strategies to successfully explore a career in contemporary counselling. Including how to support individuals, couples, families or groups, considering the cultural and social-political context in which they live and how this may affect them.
It also includes 200 hours’ experience in a professional placement, with 40 hours of counselling client contact giving you the hands-on experience ACAP is known for. This is linked with two clinical supervision units over two consecutive trimesters.
Our degree is accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.

Explore with an applied focus:
On-campus in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, via online delivery or via blended delivery which combines online study with compulsory on-campus workshops, or a combination of all. You will need to have access to a computer and the internet, study mode availability is subject to unit requirements and trimester enrolments.

Participate in a screening interview (online or by phone); and
Please note that if you don’t meet the above criteria, an alternate option is to apply for the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management). You will receive credit on successful completion of the Diploma to enter an ACAP Bachelor course.
