ASK A QUESTION SEE JOBS

HVTC is a Group Training Organisation (GTO)

We employ apprentices and trainees and place them with Host Employers under an agreement that helps develop on-the-job skills needed for their vocation.
A GTO can rotate an apprentice or trainee to another business if work at the current organisation ends or vocational competencies are not able to be delivered. HVTC remains the legal employer of the apprentice or trainee for the duration of their contract. We’re also responsible for managing all associated employment records and conditions including payroll, superannuation and workers’ compensation.

Why employ an apprentice or trainee?

Employing an apprentice or trainee is a smart and affordable way to manage your workforce needs, boost your business and help develop skills. It’s a simple process that can be easily arranged and managed through us.

About apprenticeships and traineeships

An apprenticeship or traineeship covers full-time or part-time employment that combines work placement and structured training.

Apprenticeships last three to four years and are generally offered in the traditional trade industries such as building and construction, metals and engineering, electrotechnology to name just a few. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, training is undertaken at an approved Registered Training Provider (RTO).

Traineeships usually last one to two years and include a range of occupations from aged care to zoo keeping along with business administration (admin, accounts, HR), IT, retail, hospitality and many more.

School-based options allow young people to begin their qualifications for many trades and occupations whilst they are still at school.

We take care of everything

HVTC specialises in helping young people and job seekers enter vocational employment. We understand that your time is valuable and that recruiting the right people for your business is important.

Utilising innovative psychometric testing tools we find the best apprentices, trainees and employees for your workforce needs and save you time and money by handling the entire recruitment process.

To ensure the best return possible on your training investment we also provide mentoring and vocational liaison services to help navigate the vocational education sector, liaise with training providers (RTOs) and monitor training plans.
