Year13 , Crows Nest

Brand Manager

Full Time, Part time, Entry Level

Consider yourself a bit of a creative? Reckon you can nail the vibe of Year13? Want to help us reach more and more young people across Aus? If you tick all these boxes and actually care about helping young people then this is the job for you.

Year13 is made for young people by young people. We’re Australia’s leading career and life platform for youth and we’re looking for a super talented brand manager to join our crew. If you follow us on Insta you’ll see that Year13 is a pretty grouse place to work (if we do say so ourselves) and, if you’re passionate about helping young people then you’ll fit right in with the rest of our motley crew.

We’re based in Crows Nest, Sydney and we're looking for someone who’s keen to work with us as a brand manager in the office full time.

About Year13

Year13 was born when the founders were teenagers and now the team who runs the show is a rag tag bunch of school leavers and confused 20-somethings who are still on their own post school journeys and learning a whole lot along the way.

Our mission at Year13 is a simple one; we want to improve the health and happiness of all young Australians. We want to be the voice box for all young Aussies who still have no idea wtf they’re doing, just like us. Cause really, who of us isn’t a little bit lost?

If this sounds like the sort of team you could be a part of, then read on.

The position

In this role, you'll be continuing to grow the Year13 brand through the website and Year13 socials (like Facebook and Instagram) and deliver amazing content to our readers.

You'll need to:

  • Take control of the brand strategy including ensuring content follows style guides, brand guidelines and the vision of Year13
  • Plan and execute a digital strategy to continue to grow the Year13 brand
  • Research, write and roll out content for our website, emails, and socials
  • Work with other content creators (videographers, photographers, graphic designers, and writers) to maintain our images
  • Be at the forefront of all things youth. You'll monitor youth trends, create reports and implement strategies that incorporate learnings into the wider brand strategy (you need to get young people)
  • Stay on top of new social media trends and platform developments, identifying opportunities and informing the wider business on new ways to connect with young Aussies

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone who understands why Year13 exists and reckons they can do amazing things when it comes to our brand. The ideal person for this role is someone who can use a creative, out-of-the-box thinking approach to everything they do. We want to reach more young Aussies so we can help them out with life after high school and we need someone who can implement a plan to do this across our digital platforms.

To apply

If you’re keen, we want to hear your story. Chuck in your details below, upload your resume and in the 'personal message' section make sure you include a bio about you (we won't read it if you don't)–we want to see your personality shine through, so make sure that by the time we finish reading your application that we’ll wanna grab a beer with you.

We’re looking for the right type of person, not just a qualification so even if you don't have any experience we still wanna hear from you.

Good luck!
