I think we can all agree that it’s been a pretty stressful time to be alive - even though I’ve basically been going between my desk and my couch for the past couple of months I’m totally burnt out. What we need is some R&R - and we really need people who are trained to actually help me recharge.

Massage Therapist

The amount of random hobbies and sports I’ve picked up over the past couple of months has not only left me with a sizable Afterpay debt, but also a cavalcade of knots and sore spots in my muscles. Massage therapy can reduce stress and anxiety, help with pain, relax the muscles and give your injuries a bit of rehab. Plus, it just feels good! It’s also actually a pretty rigorous discipline - Endeavour College has a HLT42015 Cert IV in Massage Therapy, and a HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage to put you on the path to becoming a remedial massage therapist or running your own practice down the line.

Yoga Instructor

If you’re reading this right now, I’m willing to bet you’re currently sitting like an absolute prawn, wondering why your neck and back are so sore all the time. Once you hop on the yoga train, it’s easy to get hooked - but what if you went pro? Becoming an instructor is a great way to give back what you get from the practice, and if you get a loyal customer base, it’s not a bad way to make some cash either.

Esthetician

Lockdown has not got me looking my best at the moment - my hair is grown out, and I’m running at a significant risk of my normally shapely brows becoming a singular fuzzy caterpillar across my face. Being an esthetician isn’t just about doing the same old thing every day to every client - you’ve gotta have a great understanding of individual skin types and needs, plus manage what the client wants out of that experience to keep them coming back.

Clinical Nutritionist

More and more research is coming out these days that shows a pretty clear link between our body and our minds. Whether it’s exercise, fresh air or sunlight, these have all been shown to correlate with having a better outlook on life. One area that’s super interesting at the moment is looking at how important our diet can be in affecting our mental health.

Clinical nutritionists use a combination of scientific evidence and traditional food wisdom to develop nutrition plans to help people tackle health issues, get the nutrition they need or just make a positive change. If you’re interested in diving into that world you can check out Endeavour College’s Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine).

Interior Decorator

Interior decorating is super underrated IMO. Having a genuinely pleasant home environment contributes so much to your wellbeing it’s crazy. It’s also such a great way to express your personal tastes and lifestyle. Unfortunately, we don’t always know what we want when we try to decorate our rooms or apartments, and that’s where an interior decorator can come in handy. If you’re an Architectural digest addict, this could be the job for you.

The world needs people who can help us take care of ourselves and each other - if you’re thinking about making a difference in people’s wellbeing, Endeavour College has a whole range of courses in natural health education. Why not take a look at what they have to offer over here?
