Overview
  • After a two year dry spell, international music festivals are back baby! It's going to be a good year - so pack your bags and drop your rent money on these overseas fezzies. 🌈

1. Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival

When: APRIL 15-17 & 22-24, 2022

Where: Indio, California

We all know Coachella right? Well, after two years the fezzie ✨ of all fezzies ✨ is kicking off again over two weeks in April with Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Ye and Swedish House Mafia all headlining.

Coachella sets the benchmark high and is a half-naked pilgrimage we all have to complete at least once in our lifetime.  If your fave musician is not on the lineup, chances are they’ll be somewhere among the crowds of people attending. Coachella is always packed with Hollywood stars, Victoria's Secret models and A-list musicians!

2. Stagecoach Music Festival

When: APRIL 29 - MAY 1, 2022

Where: Indio, California

If you are a country music fiend (who hasn't been since Old Town Road) dust off your cowboy boots and hats for the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Greater Palm Springs.

Held the weekend after Coachella’s last hurrah, the event features three days of western fun. Shania Twain, Billy Ray Cyrus (feat. Lil Nas X) and Carrie Underwood are just a few who have headlined in the past. Strap in cowboy (and cowgirls), yeeehaw.

3. Joshua Tree Music Festival

When: MAY 12-15, 2022

Where: Joshua Tree National Park, California

If you haven’t heard of Joshua Tree Music Festival, it's a laid back fezzie for people who just want to listen to indie bands, kiss people and count the stars while in the dry and dusty Californian desert. Nearly all the acts are small-time, and the music ranges from electro-didgeridoo to house and folk. It’s independently produced by a bunch of true music lovers who strive to include diverse lineups of unheard acts with every edition. You probably won’t know many (or any) of the acts on their lineup; they’re all new artists that are given a platform to showcase their numerous talents. Groups like Edward Sharp & The Magnetic Zeros, Elle King and John Butler Trio rose to fame here.

4. Glastonbury

When: JUNE 22-26, 2022

Where: Pilton, UK

Pack your gumboots baby because we are going to Glasto. Remaining the king of the mud heap when it returns in 2022, say goodbye to social distancing and personal hygiene because you’ll get filthy.

The weather is frequently shithouse (did we mention the mud enough?) Is Glastonbury worth the pilgrimage? Bloody oath! With past lineups including Radiohead to The Foo Fighters and Lorde, if you don’t go you’ll get serious FOMO.

5. Tomorrowland

When: JULY 15-1 AUGUST 2022

Where: Boom, Belgium

If you’re like me and living your best life on a Euro summer, Tomorrowland is a must attend wild spectacle. Come July, every DJ in the world will bring their USB to the quaint Belgian town of Boom.

6. Splendour in the Grass

When: 22-24 JULY 2022

Where: Byron Bay, Australia

If your bank account says no to an overseas festival this year, you can finally witness the Gorillaz in the flesh – Splendour is back baby! If you don’t go for the lineup, then go for the all round g vibes and the loaded butter chicken fries. The epitome of a chef’s kiss. For three days, have fun with your mates and watch my favourite musicians on the hill as the sun goes down with bevs in hand. Like, nuff said. Pure bliss, I’m telling you. Pure. Bliss.

7. Sziget Festival

When: 10-15 AUGUST 2022

Where: Budapest, Hungary

Europe's biggest festival Sziget is coming back after a two year long break. With a banging line-up - Dua Lipa - need I say more? Sziget is more than just a festival: it's a place to meet new mates from all over the world, and fall in love (or have a decent pash).

Go get 'em and enjoy your best lockdown-free life, you deserve it ❤️✨
