Overview
  • SAE is offering a bunch of amazing scholarships and study grants for their amazing courses in the creative industries for 2022.
  • Applications close 31st of October so make sure you get an application in fast!

I reckon what makes us get into creative industries in the first place is that in many ways all you need is an audience, a canvas, a camera or a laptop, and you can take that creative spark you’ve got to go and create something new.

That all being said, there’s only so much you can get from goofing around and YouTube tutorials. If you’re looking to take your creative game to the next level and go pro, you’ll wanna get professionally trained and qualified.

That’s where SAE comes in. They’ve got an enormous range of degrees, certificates and diplomas on offer for everything creative - from animation and design to film and game development.

What makes them special is their huge network of creative professionals who work in the industry today, leading their courses and classes. They’ve got an eye on making sure that everything you learn is up-to-date and current in the industry, from the curriculum to the world-class equipment. Plus, when you graduate, you already have a bunch of amazing contacts and connections that can help you get your start in the big wide world.

But let’s get to the juicy details - what’s this scholarship business about?

SAE wants to invest in the future of the creative industries in Australia, and to do that they’ve got a whole range of scholarships and learning grants on offer, including up to full-tuition scholarships for bachelor’s degrees! Imagine coming out the other side of your higher education HECS-free? Not bad eh?

Here’s what you’ll want to keep in mind and prepare for:

  • Applicants are considered on their creative skill, academic excellence, and leadership skills
  • You’ll need to submit an online portfolio
  • Each scholarship application needs a 250-word statement related to the scholarship and how it’ll help you achieve your dreams!

There’s even the Kickstarter Scholarship worth $15,000 specifically on offer to year 12 students finishing up school in 2021. Did we mention there’s 6 of them and they cover all creative areas?

If we’ve piqued your interest, make sure you check out all the deets over here.

Applications close 31 October 2021, so make sure you get a wriggle on!
Good luck, and we’ll see you on the red carpet 😉
