Let’s face it, even if you’re pretty chill and can see beyond the noise of your HSC, you’ll be spending at least some of the rest of the year freaking out. The worst thing is that once you’ve finished final exams, that’s when the waiting starts: marks, ATARs, offers… As if preparing for and actually doing the most stressful exams of your life wasn’t enough, you now have the lovely bonus of waiting a couple months to see if it even paid off.

Why not cut that stress out of your life and get accepted for a degree before your ATAR even comes out? Even better, why not find out whether you even need a degree with our Post-School Plan?

TAFE NSW’s Early Entry Program is for their degree courses (yep, they offer degrees, just like universities except they are more focused on ‘career’ knowledge and skills). Applications close after October 31 — before ATARs are released, so entry isn’t dependent on your HSC results. An NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent is required though, so as part of your conditional offer you just need to make sure you finish up the Year 12 with one of those.

A real beauty of the Early Entry Program is that you get to bypass all the waiting. With a degree offer in the bag, you can carry on with the rest of the year knowing that you already have a guaranteed pathway in front of you.

TAFE NSW is best known for their ‘real’ approach to education, and their degrees are no different. Their courses are designed to include internships and work placements to make sure you’re getting real experience and training that’s actually useful in a job. This means you can turn theory into reality and make valuable professional connections while you’re at it.

The classes are smaller than at a university too, so you’ll be getting a personalised touch to your education. Your teachers will all have industry experience, so they are teaching exactly what you need to know to get your foot in the door. In fact, TAFE NSW received an 87% student satisfaction rate, which ranks them second for overall graduate satisfaction compared to universities in NSW.

TAFE NSW offers Bachelor degrees in:

  • Applied Commerce
  • Business
  • Community Services
  • Early Childhood Education and Care
  • 3D Art and Animation
  • Interior Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Information Technology
  • Property Valuation
  • They also offer Diplomas in Applied Commerce, Adult Education, and Sustainable Practice
  • Plus an Associate’s Degree in Applied Engineering
