Into Skegss, Hockey Dad, Lime Cordiale, Spacey Jane, San Cisco, Ball Park Music, The Chats, King Gizz... or any other band from the land down under?!
Well, it's time to get some smaller Aussie bands on your radar! Here are some lords and legends to listen to. You're welcome 😂
1. Crocodylus
Get ready for the mosh of your LIFE when bangers like 'My Love', 'Motivation' and 'Sweaty Already' come on... Actually, any of their songs for that matter.
Crocodylus are the epitome of surf rock -- their music is upbeat and wild (amazing to listen to whilst exercising as well - hot tip).
2. Johnny Hunter
The first time I saw Johnny Hunter live, I was enamored. I thought I'd been transported to a crowd in the 80's watching a new wave/punk band. Their stage presence is like no other! Oh and their music is just *chefs kiss*. My fave song is 'Cult Classic'. 'Try As You May' and 'Life' are also insane.
3. I Know Leopard
"Didn't you know... la la la la la la love is a landmine" - that was in my head for weeks after the first time I heard this song. I Know Leopard are FUNKY and FRESH. All you have to do is watch this music video to fall in love with them:
4. The Lazy Eyes
The Lazy Eyes had a song shared by Elton John. Enough said.
I mean, this is the band to watch!! They're gonna go far so jump on the bandwagon early! Their music is very Beatles-esque. Enough said x2.
5. Amyl and the Sniffers
Amyl and the Sniffers are pretty big. Maybe too big for this list, buuuuuut I still feel the need to share them -- especially since their new album 'Comfort To Me' was released a few weeks back.
They're unforGETTABLE live, and their songs are to die for. I aspire to be the lead singer Amy.
6. The Buoys
Yeah 👏🏼the👏🏼girls👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼!!!! Four girls. A multitude of bangers. They ROCK live (literally left me speechless for a hot minute once) and have perf tunes for anytime, anywhere.
7. Los Scallywaggs
Fun fun fuuuuun is what you'll feel after listening to any Los Scallywaggs song. Surfy and a little unhinged, vibes are off the charts with this band.
And there you have it!! Seven Aussie bands to get on your radar. Try to catch 'em live if you can too!
