What is a Cambodia Orphanage Help gap year?

Have you ever been somewhere or seen something that you thought you could change for the better? Do you think school is important, but have a positive attitude you think is just as important? Do you like acting as a role model to children? Volunteering as a childcare provider is a way into the hearts of families who have so much to offer in a country reaching toward new heights everyday. Head over to our gap site to read a heap more info!

Is it made for me?

This is an opportunity for you to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children by providing them the education and care they are in desperate need of. Do you consider yourself a good person? Does your constantly enthusiastic attitude sometimes annoy people around you? Good, this program needs you. You will be provided accommodation, food, location transport, and will be helped throughout the process of flights, visas, and other arrangements. Also, you will need to send a copy of your CV to pass onto the project to take part in the volunteering.

What will I do as a Orphanage volunteer?

The main focus as a volunteer will be teaching. You will be responsible for various activities, including arranging lesson plans, teaching English lessons, teaching drawing and painting, helping with health education, and taking care of children during class.

What can I do it?

Phnom Pehn, Cambodia is an exotic and relatively undiscovered gem in Asia. Phnom Pehn is a vibrant, busy city with a mix of modern and traditional that travellers flock to, unlike any other Asian capital.

What will my experiences be as a volunteer?

The great thing about doing a volunteer gap year such as this one is the experiences you’ll get outside of the bullet points on slideshows. You’ll be able to explore the areas around you, acclimate into a culture unlike anything you’ve imagined before, and develop yourself while helping to develop the youth of another country. This is a small community project that works directly with families who are at risk of child trafficking. This is where your participation could literally save a child’s life.

How is this good for me?

No matter what you think you might want to do for the rest of your life, becoming a volunteer childcare provider will open doors in every field. It is unique in its teaching of life skills that become applicable in all situations. You never know, you might find you love the city and diverse culture so much, you stay to help continue the development and restoration of Cambodia.
