Here’s How The Year13 Expo Is Going Down

Can you believe in just a COUPLE of hours our very own digital careers expo will be underway – the Year13 Expo! You can even count down the hours on both your hands now!

The team at Year13 have put in their all to make sure that the Year13 Expo will let you find a career you’re genuinely passionate about without even having to get out of bed.

Over the course of National Careers Week (18-22 May), you’ll hear from experts, chat with influencers and explore exhibitors from a host of different universities, TAFES, colleges, employers and gap year providers.

Through a series of live chats, webinars and online ‘booths’, the Year13 Expo will help you figure out what it is you’re passionate about and what you need to do in order to get there.

But as the time ticks down til’ we get started; you may have a bunch of questions that need answering. Fear not, because we compiled questions that we’ve received over the weeks about how the whole Year13 Expo shindig is about to go down.

Is it free?

Of course! All of the Year13 Expo is free. All you need to do is sign up here so you can receive all the good bits the Year13 Expo has to offer.

Who’s speaking?

We’ve got influencers who are killing it in their industry and experts who know the industry they specialise in like the back of their hand. But you’ll also get to chat to unis, travel providers, educators and employers.

Who are the influencers and experts speaking in the webinars?

We are hosting 36 webinars across five days from experts and influencers across a whole range of jobs, industries and career paths. Click here for a full list of webinars and be sure to scroll down to the schedule to find out when your favourite speakers are on.

How do I join the webinars?

If you find something you like in that list, be sure to click ‘Attend’! This ensures you get a reminder text 15 minutes before the talk is due to start with a link to join. You can view straight from your phone, or you can hop onto your desktop and simply log into your MyYear13 account, where on the Homepage you will see a reminder and link to the webinar that’s about to start.

Can I ask questions during the webinar?

We’re committed to making this experience interactive and insightful to you guys, so of course you can ask questions! If you have any questions during a webinar, just click on the Q&A Tab and shoot them through there.

Once your question has been approved by our trusty team of moderators, the rest of the audience will be able to upvote the questions they want answered the most. At the end of the 30-minute webinar, there will be 10 minutes for the speaker to answer your questions.

What if my question didn’t get answered?

Unfortunately, not all questions will be answered during the webinar just because of time. But fear not, because if yours didn’t get answered and you really wanna find out, please find their profile on our site and drop a question there, or email socials@year13.com.au and we’ll get back to you ASAP!

Can I talk to the exhibitors?

Absolutely! Each exhibitor and their booth have an info pack and enquiry system where you can ask them questions about anything!
