Let's All Appreciate Science, Technology, Engineering, & Maths

We've all been there. We're sitting in class, we're groaning “When will I ever use this?”. 

But that's the beauty about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). It solves real-life problems!

So, let's all appreciate STEM for a hot minute.

STEM is everywhere. I mean, just take a look around! It's in your home, your classroom, even the roads you drive on. Your fridge, the ATM, medicines and even the device you're reading this from right now. 

Studying and working in STEM means learning about the world around you, finding innovative solutions to real-world challenges, and playing a role in some of the world’s major discoveries and developments. From growing food during a flood and slowing down climate change to stopping apples from turning brown. Personally, I just wanna find out if the Loch Ness Monster is real. Anywho, STEM is our saviour!

But STEM doesn't just mean lab coats and calculators, it can be anyone's flavour. There’s a huge range of jobs that go beyond the walls of the laboratory and into some weird and wonderful areas of study. 

Want to work with robots, refine driverless car technology or cure diseases? How about a rollercoaster engineer or designing LEGO? Maybe you find yourself ignited by a desire to change the world for the better? From a strom tracker to an ethical hacker, the list goes on and on. 

The world is changing around us. There's new apps created daily and all this new technology is impacting the world of work as we know it. Entire job sectors are disappearing while new ones are being created. 

But, the good news is STEM jobs are in demand! And the industry growing twice as fast as any other job!
