What’s it all about?
If you look around, we are surrounded by the work of graphic designers. The striking visual elements of any advertisement, brochure, web page, book or magazine can owed to the work of graphic designers, who skilfully combine text, image, layout and technology in an artistic way.
Will it suit me?
Do you have a good eye or fascination for shapes, colours, fonts and overall design layouts? If you are innovative, imaginative, artistic, original and love to create then graphic design could very well be the course for you.
What will I learn?
You will gain the skill set to be a visual problem solver and communicator. You will also learn how to use certain design software, the most common being the Adobe Creative Suite. You will apply advanced techniques to execute design briefs and have the chance to build an awe-inspiring portfolio.
How long will the course last?
Full-time: 30 weeks
Off-campus: 60 weeks

A recent Graphic Design graduate will receive an average annual starting wage of $36,000

Graphic design opens the door to career opportunities that may include or have links to areas such as advertising and promotion, art direction, branding, corporate identity, instructional design, packaging, signage and web design.
What is Fee-Help or HECS?
Did you know the FEE-HELP / HECS scheme allows you to study now and pay for a course later? The great thing about FEE-HELP / HECS is that you don’t have to make any re-payments until you have a job and your income reaches a certain level, which for the 2014 / 15 income year is $53,345.
