The morning of an exam can typically be a frazzled extravaganza of bombarding our brain with last-minute facts and statistics and drowning in anxiety and stress but here is how to go into the exam a little less frazzled, a little more cool, calm and collected.

First and foremost, sleep!!! If you were up all night furiously cramming, your brain may not be as alert as you’d like during the exam. Have an early night and get as much sleep as possible to avoid fatigue for the next day and get that brain of yours working to its full potential! Side note - set an alarm or two and give yourself enough time to get ready and get to the exam without adding more stress by running late.

After waking from your slumber, you may go straight to your notes but please, don’t forget breakfast! A trap for young players is forgetting to eat entirely but to get that brain functioning to its full potential, fill up that stomach of yours with food and water. You also won't have to be that person in the exam hall with the ferociously growling stomach that keeps distracting everyone.

Instead of spending the whole morning cramming last minute info and beating yourself up if you got something wrong, get those good vibes by doing something that makes you happy and will pump you up. I would go for a swim at the beach and rock up to the exam with wet, salty hair. You could listen to some funky tunes, do some drawing, go for a run, read a few pages of a good book, meditate or even play with your dogs. If you're feeling happier, you'll feel a little more confident when walking into the exam hall.

Whilst waiting around for the exam, avoid talking to people stressed and frazzled, asking everyone for questions and answers. The negative vibes will make you anxious, maybe making you feel like you're not as prepared as everyone else. Just sit in the sun if you can, do some last-minute revision and talk to some funky friends.

Overall, the most important thing about the morning before is not wallowing in negativity. Your outlook is so bloody important so scrap all the bad vibes. Tell yourself that you can bloody do this even if you're anxious. Fake it til you make it! You got this, you're amazing, you're beautiful brain is full of knowledge, you're smart, you're prepared. You can freaking do this baby. YOU GOT THIS!!!
