Another week has passed. Winter has been officially been put to bed (good bloody riddance) and behold, SPRING 🌼☀️ I’m thinking Midsommar vibes without the plot, earlier sunrises, more hours in the day, strawberries a dollar a punnet and we’re step closer to summer. Cheeeehoo! Here’s to a better season, some fresh air (for longer than an hour) and to a boost in serotonin 🤗

Let’s forget about the hay fever and magpie swooping, just for today. ‘Cus we’re starting off September with some ✨BANGER✨ and wholesome stories in the realm of entertainment, the world around us and pop culture tingsss that you NEED to be up to speed with. Plus, TGIF, right?! Let’s get right into it.

A small town in NSW has placed life-size cardboard cutouts of Dolly Parton’s around their town to encourage vaccinations

She wasn’t lying when she said she was “working 9 to 5, what a way to make a living” 🎶

In the Hunter Valley town of Merriwa, there's really just some harmless and light-hearted fun, and who better to call on than the doing-God's-work-for-corona, country music queen, Dolly Parton? Say less.

Timomatic is in Netflix’s new crime drama, Clickbait

Yes, you heard that right. The Australia’s Got Talent multi-talent landed a small role in a Netflix series.

Now, you’re probably wondering, why should I care about this? Well, because I wasn’t expecting a cultural reset mid-show and we can’t help but be proud of the man that plastered our screens in 2011. Set It Off and Parachute? We weren’t worthy deserve those bangers 🕺 SECURE THAT BAG, KING.

Macca’s Monopoly is back - watch me win nothin’ again

Not sure if this is good news (bc I love a good big mac) or bad news (bc this is dangerous as hell) but either way, McDonald’s are back with over $615 million dollars in prizes. Watch me win five small fries or apple bags booooois 🍟

Chobani has released a yoghurt just for doggos (and this is the best news ever)

Imagine sharing yoghurt breakfast bowls and a cappuccino / puppacino morning. This is so freakin’ cute!

Chobani’s Daily Dollop is specially designed for their sensitive tummies, packed with probiotics for digestion as well as protein and calcium to keep our best furry pals strong.

9-year-old Allegra Clarke has been accepted into university to study physics, so what are you doing?

From completing maths and physics at a senior high school level, Allegra has said she “found the components pretty easy”. By the end of the year, she’ll be studying a university-level physics subject after being accepted into university.

I’m sorry but at 9-years-old I was ripping into kids on Runescape and Habbo Hotel 🖥 what an unbelievable achievement for Allegra - I’d love to see what’s going on in her brain!

Josh Peck from Drake and Josh joins the How I Met Your Father cast

In Hilary Duff’s attempt to revive every early-mid 2000’s show out there, How I Met Your Father (the How I Met Your Mother spin-off) has started filming and Josh Peck has joined the cast. You know, the guy that had a crush on Oprah in Drake and Josh?

The guy that worked at a movie theatre? The Amanda Show? If you don’t know him by now, you had a sad childhood without Foxtel. If you didn’t already feel old, he’s married and has a son now?! He’ll be playing the vice principal so get ready, y’all.

The final season of La Casa de Papel aka Money Heist is back on our screens on 3 September

The Spanish crime drama IS BACK AND WE’VE BEEN WAITING A YEAR AND A HALF FOR THIS MOMENT. If you can’t tell, I’m counting down the hours.

And if you haven’t already watched it, get up to speed. It’s about eight criminals who have nothing left to lose. They plan an elaborate scheme to rob a bank. It’s a cinematic masterpiece. So get onto it.

That’s all I’ve got for this week folks! Get some sun in ya, take care of yourselves and have a fab weekend 👋
