Here are 5 jobs in tech that you've probably never considered (but definitely should!)

There is no doubt that you’ve been told you spend too much time playing with technology - whether it's scrolling on Instagram, spiralling into rabbit holes of conspiracy videos on YouTube and recreating viral videos on TikTok with your mates.

But the entertainment side of technology is only one facet in an industry that is diverse and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. There are millions of products, apps and web services that we’ve all either used or will use in the future. But, despite the huge variety of tech out there – it’s all largely created with one goal in mind: to make our lives better.

The beauty of this is the endless amount of job opportunities, the growing demand for tech-savvy individuals and the opportunity for us to jump into a tech career and actually make a difference in the world.

It’s definitely an industry worth looking at - you’ll probably find some jobs in tech that you’ve never considered before (and some that don’t even exist yet), but if you’re keen on a career that could make a big impact then this could be for you.

In fact, we’d say that most of these jobs demand at least a little bit of creativity, so ditch the idea that the only jobs in tech are being locked in a dark room, staring at lines of code all day.

Multimedia Developers design, create and produce content for different mediums meaning it is definitely a versatile career.

2. Data Scientist

Take Year13 for example. How do ya reckon this sweet site was made?

There is no doubt that there is $$$ in the tech industry. And it’s lookin’ like it’s only up from here. Careers in tech give you the chance to make a real impact in the world and improve the lives of others.
