Now that we are getting used to waking up late, wearing last night's pyjamas all day, eating breakfast at midday and consuming a copious amount of television - it probably feels like we’re wasting away our teenage and young adult years.

We’re supposed to be going to brunches, making mistakes, killin’ the dance floor, celebrating milestones and birthdays but instead we’re watching movies until eleven at night with our parents. I mean, there is nothing wrong with that but after sitting through every other horror movie ever made, you start to tell how predictable they are.

We think of lockdown as a time where we are restricted from the things we love doing. But remember all those times we wanted to do something and told ourselves “I don’t have enough time for that”, well now you do! In fact, you’ve got a whole heap of time with no end in sight - so we may as well make the most of it.

Here is an updated list of some fun things to do during iso! 50 of them to be exact. For those of you that play a video game for five minutes and then put it down ‘cus you got bored, at least you have another 49 things to choose from. Let’s get into it!

1. Learn a new language! There are so many free resources out there 🌏

2. Dust off that guitar you got six years ago, replace some strings and learn some new tunes! YouTube tutorials are your best friend 🎸

3. Learn to cook - with recipe books at your disposal and your mum eager to teach you, what better time to give it a crack? 🍳

4. Organise your wardrobe - decluttering can be therapeutic 👗

5. Pick up where you left off on your video games - I bet your Animal Crossing villagers or Sims characters could use a hand right now 🙎🏻‍♂️

6. Have a normal date night in with your partner! Dress up, spray some cologne or perfume, cook a fancy meal and have a ball 🕯

7. Get into knitting, sewing or cross-stitching. I’ve been learning how to make scrunchies and it’s been suuuper fun! (and I’m sure there is that coat or a few that’s missing a button) 🧵🪡
