Overview
  • You copped the studying, assessments, exams, textbooks and pop-up quizzes. You finished the HSC, somehow coming out alive on the other end. You're done with school. So it's time to celebrate 🥳
  • No matter if you choose to veg out or sink some beers, here's how to treat yo'self after getting your ATAR ❤️

No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers' dirty looks...

Who doesn't have to cop that one teachers' epic vendetta against you, giving you detention if you so much as chewed gum? You. Who doesn't have to suffer from intense boredom in classes that drag on for a millennium, writing notes about topics you couldn’t really give a rats ass about? You. Who doesn't have to chuck on the same uniform (probably stained and slightly too small) every single bloody morning anymore? You. You. You 👏🏼

No matter if that ATAR of yours is high or low, do you know what it really represents? How much of a ⭐️ you are. You copped the studying, assessments, exams, textbooks and pop-up quizzes. You finished the HSC, somehow coming out alive on the other end. You're done with school.

So this is how you need to treat yourself!

1. Get chewing

We're talkin' cheesecake. Tiramisu. Ice-cream. Tim tams. Cupcakes. Waffles. Lollies. We're talkin' pizza. Pasta. Burgers. Burrittos. Chips with enough chicken salt to shave a year from your life. Go out for dinner or beg your mum to make your fave meal for you. Whatever it takes, celebrate through food without an ounce of guilt 🍔

2. Get listening

Put on your fave album or playlist, go for a drive or a long walk and just zone out. Pretend you're in a movie or a music video and let that imagination run wild. I mean, it probably hasn't had much time to play during all that studying, so vibe out with your faves 🎧

3. Get learning

There probably hasn't been much time to level-up on something you're actually keen on with all that studying. So, it's time to commit to something you've always wanted to try. Like learning French or how to surf. Trying to mosaic or bake the perfect brownie. Learning about philosophy or how to garden - whatever floats your dang dingy!

There have probably been some hobbies that were pushed aside during the HSC as well. It's time to give them some big fat love! Blow away the dust on your guitar. Look for your paintbrushes. Check your skateboard trucks and go send it.

4. Have a night of R&R

Whether you're alone, with your mates or your 'rents, chuck on some trackie-dacks and assume the position of couch potato for a few hours. Play some video games, read a book or watch a movie (or series...*cough cough* Harry Potter. "Are you still watching?" asks Netflix. Ah yeah, you will be for a while).

No thinking about that number. No thinking of school or your future. Just relac.

5. Also have a night of celebration

Get some bevs in 'ya because you're finished school! Even if you'd rather not spew out watermelon cruisers the next morning, stay on the waters and have a boog with mates out somewhere. Let your hair down and par👏🏼tay. Decades of schooling finally coming to an end is one of the biggest achievements and milestones you'll ever go through, so CELEBRATE!

Whatever you choose to do, let yourself feel bloody accomplished. You made it, fam 🫂
