If this all sounds funky, we’ve got the perfect hook up for you. SAE Institute has six Australian campuses in Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. They have a variety of courses on-campus with some online options available. SAE courses are the perfect mix of collaborative project-based learning, hands on experience and work placement opportunities to connect you with industry experts and get your foot in the door, wherever you dream to be.

So, what’s the hot goss on courses?

SAE has an array of courses to choose from. If you’re an artist at heart and interested in image making, digital design and branding, perhaps the two-year Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design) would be perfect for you, delving deep into the craft whilst allowing you to build a portfolio and body of work to share with potential employers or a first client. This studio-based course would be your ticket to becoming a graphic designer, web designer, art director, motion graphics designer and so much more!

Maybe you want to take the leap from being a film fan to film maker! A Bachelor of Film gives you knowledge and skills to launch yourself into the world of motion picture, whether that’s specialising in production where the focus is on directing and producing, or post-production where you’ll learn all things to do with editing, composing and colour grading. You’ll be learning in a studio environment, with state-of-the-art film cameras and equipment, so you’ll be industry ready when you graduate.

Is a career in audio music to your ears?? Look no further than SAE Institute’s Bachelor of Audio, an immersive, hands-on course that covers every possible level of studio, post and live production. You’ll be amplifying your talents using cutting-edge equipment like Neve, SSL and Audient consoles and software like Pro Tools, Logic Pro X and Ableton Live. You could end up working on sound design for movies, video games or recording and producing music for some of the hottest artists.

SAE offers a range of other bachelor courses, not to mention diplomas that can be done in a matter of months! The Diploma of Screen and Media (Creative Industries) gives you an introduction into audio, animation, design, film and games! If you’re interested in a few different creative fields, but you’re not sure on what path to choose, why not dip your toes in everything and give it all a try?! It’s a great way to get a taste for this dynamic and expanding industry and build skills in a range of different creative fields at the same time!

What could a career look like after SAE??

Studying at SAE won’t include you sitting in a bleak classroom or traditional lectures. Instead, you’ll be collaborating with like-minded peers on studio-based projects, experiencing first-hand what the creative industries are like in world-class facilities alongside specialist teachers.
