What do you guys actually do?

We know it can get a bit confusing, but that's only because we do so bloody much. So, we wanted to give you a lil’ breakdown of what we’re all about and how we might actually be able to help you out.
 

We'll get ya into jobs, courses and travel programs

The crew here at Year13 know from first-hand experience that leaving high school opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Where should you study next year? How do you get a job? Should you take a gap year? What do you want to do for the rest of your life? Suddenly you’re supposed to have all the answers but, quite frankly, you don’t know wtf you are doing.

That’s where we come in. We’re the one-stop shop for all your post-school options.

No two post-school journeys are the same; that’s why we created a place where you can explore and apply for all of your work, study and travel options without the bias your teachers, parents, and mates might have. We want you to be aware of all your choices so you can make the best decision for you and no one else.

Through our articles, we provide a ton of life advice that'll help get ya through your teen years and navigate into your 20s. We wanna help you through the trials and tribulations that we're all going through, no matter how big or small – from relationships, study tips, learning to drive or even just how to throw a sick 18th party. 

We ourselves are a ragtag bunch of school leavers and confused 20-somethings who are still just trying to figure this life thing out, and we want to share with you what we're learning along the way.

To start planning your life after high school, you can register for a MyYear13 account. It’s totally free to sign up and it makes keeping track of all your future plans and ideas so much easier.

Your MyYear13 account lets you apply for jobs, enquire about courses, or suss out gap year programs and travel experiences. You’ll get your own personalised dashboard where you can save the opportunities and articles you’re interested in and track your applications and enquires all in one place.

There’re some extra perks to getting on MyYear13 as well. At the moment, we have a free Year 12 Survival Guide available to help ya get through the final year of school, as well as free stickers just for referring your mates to join up.
 

Representing you guys

Simply put, our mission here at Year13 is to better the lives of all young people. We’re all still young ourselves, so we’re all working our hardest to create real change for young Aussie’s and act as the voice for a generation that is so often put down.  

Were lucky enough to work closely with a lot of State and Federal Governments to help influence the policies that impact us. We also get to chat regularly with schools, universities, TAFEs, teachers and parents to make sure we are all working together to help you guys through the hectic period of leaving school.

Your voice can make a difference. If you’ve ever filled out one of our surveys or answered a question on our Insta, then you’ve probably contributed to our efforts to effect real social change. This is because we take your opinions and ideas and combine them to create research reports that go on to inform things like policies and curriculums. We want to provide you with a platform to tell the top dogs and big decision-makers what’s good.
 

The Truth Project

If you’ve ever had Year13 come to your school, then you would have seen The Truth Project. This is our in-school program that empowers students to create an inspiring vision for their future, where you decide what you want to do and learn how to turn it into reality.
