You Should Blow All Your Money Travelling
Overview
-
Our generation was robbed of our youth. "These are the best days of your lives" everyone would say... and what did we get? Zoom calls, toilet paper outages, and the word 'unprecedented' on repeat for two or so years. "Experience" hasn't been a word in our vocabulary.

No matter how exxy travel can be, we now know that experience is priceless.
Hello and welcome to my Ted Talk on why you shouldn't put a deposit on a house or buy a shmick car. Why you shouldn't keep studying at uni or TAFE. Why you should quit your job and go travelling.
Kidding kidding!! That piqued your interest didn't it? 🤡
Yeah nah, I'm not gonna tell you what to do! Whatever floats your dingy baby. Buuut, if there's a travel bug in your brain, whispering sweet nothings of South American beaches or French art galleries and tempting you to book flights - let me give you the lil' shove you need.
You see, our generation was robbed of our youth. "These are the best days of your lives" everyone would say and yet what did we get? Zoom calls, toilet paper outages, and the word 'unprecedented' on repeat for two or so years. 😮💨 Yeah not the vibe aye.
"Experience" hasn't been a word in our vocabulary. But now that travel has opened back up to us it's time to send it. Express shipping.
The truth is, I still feel like the same person I was two years ago. I've stayed in the same apartment with the same people doing the same job. I've walked down the same street at the same time every day. Same, same, same.
I'm not saying travel is the only way to grow or gain experience, but it's definitely a good op, especially if you're feeling called to it.
We all have that one mate that came back from trips abroad not only with their suitcase, but a brand new lust for life too. Their purpose, perspective, and priorities changed. Oh and, they can't go five minutes without saying "travelling changed me, man". They may seem a lil' wanky but they have a point.
You experience a lot whilst travelling. You change a lot.
You'll grow from not knowing where to sleep the next night, not knowing how to get from point A to B, not having service on your phone, not knowing how to speak a language and not knowing... well anyone. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, you'll become all the more confident in yourself! You'll appreciate experiencing new ways of life, meeting new people, eating new foods and walking through streets that date back thousands of years.
I know I know. Travel is exxy. But what you get out of it is priceless.
And money can always be made. For the people in the back row, I'll say that again. Money can always be made.
Take it from me. I'm going overseas in three days for as long as my dosh will take me (hopefully a year) and I cannot wait to blow every 👏🏼last👏🏼 cent👏🏼. I'll come back home and happily accept the slog to build my savings again. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
If you've been um-ing and ahh-ing, wondering if you should travel or not...
Book your flights.
This is the time to be reckless. This is the time to be bold. This is the time to make up for lost time. This is the time to experience life, full throttle.
