WTF Is Astrology?

According to urban dictionary, astrology is the following:

1. BS
"Astrology is BS"

2. A practice used to determine people’s personalities from the positions of stars and planets during their birthdays. Although it seems harmless, some idiots have used it to justify their hate for certain people.

3. People think it actually works because the predictions (horoscopes) are extremely vague and telling people what they want to hear, such as "you will make money" and "you will find true love". All these astrologers are making $$$ off morons, and probably snorting coke off a hooker right now.

Look, I'm into astrology but that's still pretty funny. But I can't deny that astrology cops a lot of flack. I get it, some of it is an eye roll. My horoscope has vaguely told me at least 100 times that I'm gonna meet my soulmate... well, I haven't met Harry Styles yet so...?

Like seriously, I wanna be told that; "a chance encounter with a goon sack will have the potential to alter the course of your month," or "they say take the bull by the horns, but with Saturn in your fourth house, tell the bull to nick off and go have a banana or something. This month isn't the time for it."

But even so, if you sift through the "BS" that urban dictionary is referring to, astrology is interesting. So, if you keep going on first dates and get asked ye age-old question; "what's your star sign", here is 'astrology for dummies.'

The zodiac signs use another type of grouping – the elements.  The signs that belong to each element are as follows:

🔥 Fire – Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Fire signs can be loving, passionate, courageous and spiritual. On the other hand, fire also symbolises destruction, which can make Fire signs temperamental.
🍂 Earth – Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. Earth signs are known to be realistic and practical. They are well-grounded people, meaning they see the value in starting with a solid foundation. Plus, they are considered “builders” who do things slowly but surely.
🌀 Air – Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. The air can be a powerful force, which symbolises man’s ability to put their ideas into action. Contrary to earth signs, people in this element are detached from earthly things.
