Here at Year13, we know how tough it is to decide what you want to do after high school, especially with everything else going on right now. You’re trudging through all the things high school throws at you, from exams and assignments to pressure from your family, sorting through petty drama with your mates and trying to get your licence. It’s a bloody minefield.

So it wasn’t a surprise when we asked you guys what you wanted to do once you leave high school,  43% of you said you had no idea (honestly, we don’t blame ya).

Here's a couple more stats we found out:

This is why we created The Truth Project–to give you guys the skills and knowledge you need to make sense of life outside of school, as well as an understanding of the huge amount of options out there so you can find one that’s right for you.

What is The Truth Project?

It’s pretty simple–Year13 will come to your school and present to Years 10, 11 and 12. We’ll teach you how to figure out your passions, align that with the skills you've got, and set up goals to land yourself a career that you're gonna thrive in.

"The Truth Project is designed to empower students to create an inspiring vision for their future. Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 will engage in a one-day program with Year13 presenters. It will enhance the student’s knowledge and encourage a more positive post-school journey. The Truth Project program bridges the gap between young people and the real story behind industries, workplaces, education, and their own self-belief."

It’s not your typical boring info session. We’ll show you some stuff we reckon is pretty bloody cool, like this video:

And we’ll go through some of the stuff about life after high school that your teachers and parents never really talk about.

One of the best bits is that you’re not going to be listening to someone old and boring drone on for hours and hours.

The Year3 crew is made up of the high achiever, the uni drop out, the schoolyard rebel and the one who thought they’d never reach Year 12. We’ve got the quiet kid who sat up the back with their nose buried in a book and we’ve got the class clown who played pranks and made their teacher cry that one time. We want to tell our stories and hear all about yours.

Our team is all still young (check us out on our Instagram) which means we’re still trying to figure out what the heck we’re doing, but we reckon we’ve done a pretty decent job keeping it together so far.

That’s why we created The Truth Project, to share with you what we’ve learned about school, life, and the future.

We hope that after the program you’ll get a fresh look on what life is really like outside those school gates.

Cya soon, legends 🤙🤙🤙
