Why Young Australians Are Turning to Investing to Get Ahead and What's Holding Them Back from Getting Started, made by Year13 in collaboration with Raiz Invest, examines the financial pressures, investment attitudes and decision-making behaviours of young Australians, revealing how platforms and educators can better support the next generation to move from financial awareness to action.
The study focuses on young Australians aged 15 to 24 who are navigating key financial decisions during high school, university and early employment. Of the 1,013 people surveyed for this report, 69% believe investing is necessary to get ahead financially, yet fewer than half have ever made an investment of any kind.
