The Play On report, made by Year13 in collaboration with Visa in the lead up to Australia and New Zealand hosting the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023, investigates why young Australians drop out of playing sport and how can they be encouraged to continue playing on.
1250 young Australians aged 13 to 23 were surveyed for this study. It is is part of Year13 and Visa’s PlayOn digital initiative to tackle the increasing trend of young people, especially girls, dropping out of sport by promoting the physical, mental, social and career benefits of playing sport and how it can be enjoyed outside of traditional competitive environments.
