Certificate II in Construction is for anyone interested in general construction, including maintenance and renovation within the residential sector. It also covers safe working practices. This course gives you entry to a majority of work sites in a range of support roles. After completion you may find work as a trades assistant, builder’s labourer or construction assistant
Is this qualification right for you?
- You are currently working in the building and construction industry and have been registered or are intending to be registered in a NSW Traineeship.
- You are over 15 years of age (if you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the enrolment form on your behalf).
- You are able to attend the scheduled training sessions as per the timetable agreed with your employer.
- You hold a White Card which is required before you step on to a building and construction site.
How is this course delivered?
The standard course duration is 1 year full-time completed within a traineeship. However duration may vary depending on individual circumstances.
Career Pathways
After completing CPC20112 Certificate II in Construction you may decide to further your training with a Certificate III course and beyond, pursuing a rewarding career as a tradesperson.
