This program will see you develop the techniques and aptitude to carry out carpentry tasks and processes. You will learn practical skills and knowledge to undertake projects in new residential housing construction, maintenance and repair and renovations. Australia needs qualified carpenters to build the residential cities and suburbs of tomorrow - trust your future with.

Is this qualification right for you?

There are no educational entry requirements for this qualification:

• You are currently seeking or working in the building and construction industry and have been registered or are intending to be registered in a VIC Carpentry Apprenticeship.
• Before enrolling in this course you must successfully complete the WHS Induction Training (White Card) which will allow you entry into a construction worksite.
• Students must be an apprentice and have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
• Apprentices must be registered with an Apprenticeship Centre and have a training agreement with a registered employer from a relevant industry.
• Participants must be 16 years old or over
• Be competent in written and spoken English.
• All prospective students will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) evaluation prior to commencing the training.

How is this course delivered?

This course is delivered over 3 years full-time.

After successfully completing this course and the relevant on-site work experience you can be employed as a carpenter.

Financial Information

The tuition fees you pay will depend on whether you are eligible for Victorian Skills First Funding subsidies.
