Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Overview: This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to assist in the planning of learning environments and experiences for young children as well as provide for their physical and emotional care.

Campus: CIT Bruce
Duration: 2 semesters full-time (approx. 20 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent. You will also need to complete approx. 8 hours per week of independent and self-directed learning to practise and develop your skills.

Additional Information: This program has a mandatory industry placement (approx. 240 hours in total). You must also have a 'Working with Vulnerable People Check' before undertaking any professional placement with children. Information will be provided on enrolment.
Entry Requirements: On entry, you will need to demonstrate appropriate reading, writing and oral communication skills by undertaking a literacy assessment (ASCF level 3). You may be required to undertake additional Foundation Skills subjects to support your learning and success in this program.
If you are entering this program as a trainee under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprenticeship Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
