Learn skills to assist clients in a home setting or care setting with a range of specialised supports and interventions. Quality aged care is about collaborative partnerships, and you will learn to work with the client’s family and other established support network to facilitate these for improved client care. Our aged care courses have a hands-on focus to ensure you put the theory into practice as you learn.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) CHC33015
Overview: This course will give you the skills and knowledge to work in both residential aged care and community based facilities.
Campus: CIT Bruce
Duration: 1 semester full-time (6 months, approx. 25 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent (12 months)

Additional Information: This program has a mandatory industry placement (120 hours in total). CIT teachers will arrange all placements. Before undertaking any industry placement, a National Police Check is required. You will be advised if a ‘Working with Vulnerable People’ check is also needed. Information will be provided on enrolment. If you are entering this program as a Trainee/Apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
