Description
This course provides building design drafters with the competencies required to support building designers and architects. The building design drafter may work on a wide range of building design projects, including high rise commercial projects, but always under the supervision and instruction of an appropriately licensed or accredited architect or building designer. The drafter also provides administrative support to the design team, including data collection and storage, and file management.
Duration
Up to 18 months Full Time or Part Time equivalent.

Qualifications & Skills Covered
Certificate IV in Building Design Drafting (CPP40115)
This qualification covers materials, compliance, software and files, structural integrity, transposing information, concept drawings and design drawings. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 9 core units and 6 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
