This course is designed to provide or enhance the skills of individuals who perform a range of tasks and who work under supervision within a library environment.

Duration: Up to 12 months Full Time or Part Time equivalent.

Employment Outcomes

Possible job roles include library assistant. Students who wish to be a library technician will need to continue study at Diploma level.

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (BSB42115)
This course includes skills in customer service, copyright, teamwork, multimedia, industry knowledge and workplace safety. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 6 core units and 9 elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
