The Diploma of Engineering is a broad course that will give you the skills and knowledge required for a full spectrum of opportunities in the field of engineering. You can choose to specialise in civil, electrical and electronics, mechanical or mechatronics engineering when you enter second year at Deakin University.
WHERE THE COURSE CAN LEAD YOU
The Diploma of Engineering is equivalent to the first year of university and lead into the second year of the following Deakin University degrees:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Year 12 at high school or a selected post-secondary certificate or diploma. Prerequisite of Year 12 Mathematics or equivalent.
LENGTH
- 8 or 12 months
We offer two options, a fast-track option, allowing you to complete our diploma course in just 8 months. Or our standard 12-month option.
