As the industry moves from being skills-based to a more knowledge-based industry, you need a higher level of education to access the top jobs. Managers now need to be fully attuned to the culture, service and competitive aspects of the sector. Whilst studying the Diploma, you will learn about the service industry in general, basic hotel operations and basic management and accounting skills.
