Avondale's Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a three-year degree designed to present arts disciplines within a Christian world view and to help you understand society and your role in it. The Bachelor of Arts gives you opportunities to develop your abilities in problem recognition and solving, research skills, analysis, synthesis and creativity, critical and reflective thinking, and written and non-verbal communication.
Avondale's Bachelor of Arts provides broad preparation for future employment, as well as a sound basis for those wishing to pursue graduate diplomas and other postgraduate degrees.

Combined degrees are another exciting and popular option. In four years of full-time study at Avondale, you can combine an Arts degree with a Bachelor of Teaching. You can also complete a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Business as two separate awards in 4 years.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry into the Bachelor of Arts, you must qualify for admission. General admission is based on your academic background, which can include:
- Applicants with higher education study
- Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
- Applicants with work and life experience
- Applicants with recent secondary education (within the past two years)
- ATAR of 60.00*; or
- OP of 16 or less; or
- Satisfactory completion of Year 13 with NCEA Level 3 results, identifying University Entrance attainment; or
- Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum of 24 points; or
- Overseas secondary qualifications considered equivalent to Australian studies, as stated in the Admission to Higher Education Undergraduate Courses Policy

Three years full time (or part-time equivalent)
