30 min watch
Chances are after a few Grey’s Anatomy episodes; you consider yourself a full-fledged medical expert. Sorry to break it to you, but that would not fly well on a resume (bonus points for creativity though). Truth is, medicine and healthcare workers are the superheroes of the real world. They’re the ones making sure our population is healthy. You’d like to think you’re in capable hands, that’s why the journey of studying and working in medicine is one worth discussing. And who better than young doctor Anders Sideris who is passionate about Head and Neck oncological surgery and teaching the future generation of doctors.
In this webinar, Anders shares his story and explores how studying medicine translates into his career in Otolarynology Head and Neck surgery.
Anders holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Sciences at University of Newcastle. He’s forged an impressive career in Medicine, both practising and researching. He’s received the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship in 2019 and became an Associate Lecturer at UNSW Prince of Wales Clinical School from 2018 to 2020. Now, he’s getting his hands dirty as a Head and Neck Registrar at The Wollongong Hospital where he looks after unwell head and neck patients and is first responder to Wollongong emergencies. Talk about getting amongst it!
