Contrary to what you might believe, accountants don’t just deal with money – they look at all kinds of different stats to help them advise companies to achieve their goals. As an accountant working for a football club, you might look at factors such as ticket and merch sales, club memberships, contracts, players and staff salaries and more to help you and the rest of the club’s big shots make good decisions about where to invest their money and time – helping them map out the strat for success! 

You’ll be the financial playmaker

Just like a good coach creates winning plays, you’ll be making financial calls that keep the team in the game, long-term. Selling out the stadium every week? Might be time to plan a stadium reno. Want to prepare your team for the next generation of star players? Consider investing a little extra in the youth academy. Remember, trophies are never won in a single season, there’s plenty of planning that goes into every successful year.
