  • A countdown of everything that needs to be on your bucket list this summer hols!
  • Use this as your sign to hit up your high school crush <3

Summer is honestly the prime time of the year - the sun is out and we are all thriving. You’ve just finished high school and freedom is in the air. Here is everything to do this summer to make the most of it! Treat this as your bucket list:

Hit up your high school crush - cause why not lol

Seriously, that fear of rejection from your high school crush can go out the door the minute you step out of high school. We’re talking about one of those people that you’ve drooled over since year 7 but you could barely string a sentence together in their presence. Well now is your chance, and I say why not just shoot your shot? If it goes bad (which I’m sure it won’t!), you’ll never have to see them again. And if it goes well... I smell a summer fling right around the corner!

Start up a side hustle

You’re fresh out of high school and it’s a whole new world. Why not enter into this era with a business strategy?

Okay, so maybe it doesn't have to be a 'serious' business, but I think this is the perfect opportunity to start making a bit of extra cash! A great place to begin is to think about your hobbies. Love animals? Why not do a bit of dog walking? Got an eye for photography? Maybe you can offer your services to local businesses or families. Or, if you're crafty, you can start an Etsy store and grow your business from there.

If none of those ideas are sparking your interest, why not jump on depop and make some money off your second-hand clothes?! You'll create some space in your closet AND get some extra cash for new items too.

The world is your oyster and it’s time to start making the most of it.

Do nothing for a week

Hmm, quite the contrary to my previous point… I know.

Hear me out - straight off the bat after all of the stress from exams, I think it's only fair that you laze around and literally do nothing for a week (minimum).

After the high intensity of the last couple of months, a week of doing absolutely nothing is well deserved. However, at some point it will probably drive you into severe boredom. This is where the motivation for the side hustle comes in. Maybe you might be so bored you’ll need to hit up that crush too (see, it’s all linking up!).

Write a journal/read a book

Whether or not writing is your thing, I would highly recommend hitting up some journaling - and I couldn’t think of a better time. Turning 18 and leaving school is a huge life change, which means there's plenty of tea to unpack in a journal. Plus, how good would it be to go back in 5 or 10 years time and re-read all of the feelings you were experiencing?

Alternatively, reading is perfect to pick up when you have spare time. I like to read to feed off the main character and gain inspo for a whole life change.

Soak up the sun

For all of our little Aus babies - school ending lines up perfectly with the start of Summer. This means it’s time to live up to the Summer lifestyle.

Long days by the beach with friends, walking barefoot everywhere, eating ice cream - it sounds like a dream to me! Pair it with a sunset dinner with drinks, followed up by a fire on the beach, and look at you go! You're the protagonist of your very own movie.

Whatever your plans are for this summer, I’m excited for you to live it up! Don’t forget to send through all the disposables you take for us <3
