The roles we are highlighting through the Year13 Expo are just a hint to the great jobs you might consider aiming for, and if you are still in school, you should definitely look into doing an Australian School-based Apprenticeship!
There is also some great ACT public service programs the directorate is involved in that you might be interested in checking out more info on.
Australian School-based Apprenticeships
Australian School-based Apprenticeships (ASbA), also known as school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, are just like any apprenticeship or traineeship - but they commence part-time as part of your secondary schooling. You will earn a wage, train with an employer, and work towards an accredited qualification, all while completing your senior secondary certificate. Who doesn’t want to check out a job or industry you’re interested in, in real life, before you’ve even finished Year12!
When you do an ASbA, you're setting yourself up to leave school with a resume that is so impressive, it will have employers second-guessing how old you are!
