ASK A QUESTION

Beecraft was founded by Bruce Carey in October 1981 as a building company servicing the residential construction market. Since our inception, the company has grown steadily both in terms of size and experience to a stage where beecraft has developed a complete and unique service to the market. We are based on the Northern Beaches and the North Shore of Sydney with around 50 apprentices and tradesmen spread across multiple building and landscape teams.

Given the dynamic nature of the industry and our business, we’re always on the lookout for new apprentices in carpentry and landscape who are hardworking, driven and enthusiastic. The successful applicant will be a keen learner with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in residential construction and/or landscaping. Finally, the last two values that we hold the highest is a really solid work ethic and the ability to show initiative through the day-to-day activities.

There is an excellent opportunity for advancement through the company with fantastic learning experiences in a great team if you’re willing to put in the work and achieve the best in yourself. Over the years we have developed a fun culture with a great bunch of guys and the option to immerse yourself in company events and happenings.

Working hours are generally 7am-3pm and having your own transport (car and license) is essential. As we are looking for first-year apprentices, no construction experience is required as you will learn everything on site and at TAFE through the completion of the apprenticeship.

With so many builders offering their services around Sydney, why choose Beecraft? Simply because of the level of quality and expertise in every project. We have a large range of work from small renovations, to new home builds so there is plenty to learn. We take care of everything from provisional project concept, planning and building budgets, design, planning approvals, then through to the completed product. we’re very good at it because we love what we do.

What we most value in our business are our clients, employees and the greater community:

  1. Our clients and their brief. This is most important to our professional relationship with the people we work with. Breaking down the brief, lifestyle and property value to understand the core need and wants in living, design and construction. this facilitates a healthy, collaborative partnership in each project.
  2. Our employees. creating supportive and progressive working environments so that we can develop skills in construction and landscape and working in a strong team environment with likeminded professionals. By achieving this, they love what they do and work to the best of their ability. In our employees, we value good listeners, hard workers and keen learners which results in happy, skilled tradesmen.
  3. Our ongoing commitment to the greater community. We contribute to both local, and global communities by sponsoring events and supporting charities. We’ve been the presenting sponsor of BL’s blast off surf competition on the northern beaches for many years now, and more recently sponsored the Surfaid cup at Manly beach (not to mention entering a team who raised more money themselves). We’re enthusiastic supporters of the brain cancer group with humble donations and prizes for their events but see the links page on our website for more.

So that’s a summary of who we are and what we do, but have a browse around the Beecraft website for more of an insight into our work...
