Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) creates inspirational visual effects for major studios worldwide. We have worked on many big Hollywood blockbusters and contributed VFX to over 120 movies.
From humble beginnings, the company was founded in May 1995 by Tony Clark, Gail Fuller and Wayne Lewis who named it after the Rising Sun Inn in Adelaide, South Australia, where the first board meeting was held over a Coopers Ale on a Chesterfield. RSP has achieved some truly amazing, technically challenging work, and has built a team of artists who are amongst the best in the world. We have the capacity and talent pool to scale to suit our clients’ needs. Over two decades on, we’re proud to be one of the most well-established visual effects companies in the world. RSP's studio is centrally located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD and is only 15 minutes away from everything that the beautiful city has to offer.
Rising Sun Pictures Education
Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) have joined together to deliver accredited courses. In classrooms set up to mirror real-world production environments and with instructors who are working professionals, the award-winning visual effects studio rigorously trains students in the technologies and techniques they’ll need to succeed in an expanding global film industry. Since the program’s inception in 2015, well over 100 aspiring artists have used the studio’s undergraduate and graduate-certificate courses, as stepping-stones to their first industry jobs…many of them at RSP.
