Data and Communications technicians install, maintain, repair and test communications systems across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial and industrial.
The career paths are diverse and technicians will work on a wide range of telecommunications equipment, optical fibre, structured cabling, security systems, audio visual technology, software, access control and CCTV.
To become a fully qualified data and communications technician, you will need to successfully complete a four-year apprenticeship.
