We all deserve to feel slay. Keeping productive, consistent, and creative, as well as doing everything in our power to be happy, will help us get there.

Here are 35 little habits to pick and choose from that'll help every day be a... say it with me...✨slay✨.

  1. ⏰ Wake up early and at the same time: This reinforces the circadian rhythm which basically keeps our system strong and energised.
  2. 😴 Get enough sleep whilst you're at it: Seven to eight hours people.
  3. 🛏️ Make your bed: Begin your day with a tiny accomplishment. I despise making the bed so if I bang it out first thing, I've already ticked off a challenge.
  4. 💦 Drink more water: It increases energy, helps you think, focus and concentrate, it flushes out toxins, it improves your skin complexion... The benefits of drinking enough water are endless, so go skull some right now.
  5. 🧘 Meditate: Take a few minutes to switch off the chaos in your noggin' and focus on the present.
  6. 🧿 Manifest: During or after meditating, you could also picture yourself living out your goals. Whether it's a fitter body, a new job, or a relationship, get into the feeling, the mindset, and the joy your dreams will bring when they come to ya!
  7. 🌈 Be grateful: You'll never attract your dream reality if you're not appreciative of what you have now. There's always something to be appreciative of whether it's your doggo, the book you're reading, your new pair of jeans, or the brekkie you had out the other day... be grateful - then more bangin' things will come.
  8. 🗓 Plan your day: Keep yourself accountable each day by having a checklist. Ticking things off my 'to-do' list brings me so much joy.
  9. 🚶Get your step count up: Either go for a leisurely stroll whilst listening to an audiobook, podcast, or playlist or choose to walk over driving/transport to your destination.
  10. 🤾‍♀️ Exercise: Whilst walking is bangin', feel free to take your physical health a notch by doing a Youtube workout, going to the gym, or joining a sports team.
  11. 🪷 Do yoga: Yoga is obvs exercise as well, but it's a much more zen version - it brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – movement, breathing, and meditation. A great way to chill you out.
  12. 🎧 Learn something new: Challenge your mind and learn something new whether it's through an article, a Ted talk, a podcast... etc.
  13. 📚 Read: Read books, articles, and blogs to expand your knowledge and stimulate your noggin;.
  14. 📝 Journal or voice memo: Check in with yourself and recount your day. If you're not into writing, say it audibly through the voice memo app.
  15. 🎧 Listen to podcasts: You'd be surprised how much time you could be listening to podcasts - whilst you're getting ready, showering, making lunch, cleaning your room...
  16. 🎵 Listen to bangers: If you're not feeling a poddy, chuck on your fave songs for a serotonin boost.
  17. 🍳 Try a new recipe each week: Channel your inner Masterchef and try a new recipe each week (there is a tonne on Tik Tok). I'm no chef but I've felt so good trying new things in the kitchen.
  18. 🥦 Cook healthy, balanced meals: Whilst you're at it, get as much fruit, veg, and protein in as possible for your body and mind.
  19. 🍫 Treat yo'self: Don't forget to send it sometimes. Buy those lollies you froth, bake those cookies, go to that chocolate cafe. Enjoy life!
  20. 🌳 Get outside: Whether it's for a walk, to read your book or to hang with mates, fresh air is sacred to our happiness.
  21. 🚪 Clean ya room: No one likes doing it, but clean room, clean mind.
  22. 👗 Declutter on the reg: Get rid of clothes you don't wear (could donate or sell on Depop), documents you don't need, crusty, old shoes... I'm not saying you have to be a minimalist, but it's so satisfying making space.
  23. 🙋 Volunteer: No matter where or how often, volunteering will allow you to give back (duh), learn, and make friends. Not to mention, you'll feel bloody good.
  24. 👍 Surround yourself with positive people: If someone doesn't make you feel good, au revoir. It's as simple as that.
  25. 🏺 Try new things with your mates: Whether it's a gig, a pottery class, a book club or tennis, stay inspired and motivated by trying new things around the people you love.
  26. Say no when you need to: Buggered? Say no. Sick? Say no. Not interested? Say no. You don't have to give a gnarly excuse and don't be uncomfortable! You always have the right to say no.
  27. 🐕 Spend time with ya pets: Your pets worship you. Give 'em all the love you have - they'll make you happier in return.
  28. 🏟 Go to events: Suss out Facebook marketplace for gigs, markets and funky events in your area to get amongst it!
  29. 🥰 Show kindness to others: What you put out, you receive. Ask the barista how their day is, smile at the person in the supermarket, give the old lady your seat on the bus... The kinder you are, the better you'll feel.
  30. 💕 Show kindness to yourself: You're stuck with yourself for the rest of your life - might as well be nice. Ditch the negative talk and start being your biggest fan.
  31. 😊 Take care of your mental health: Whatever this looks like for you - whether it's a day off studying/work, a Saturday night in, a therapy session... your mental health is your priority so check in and look after yourself. You deserve to be happy.
  32. 🎥 Watch a funny movie or show: Laughter is the best medicine. Cringey but true. I rewatch Hamish and Andy gap years and 'Thank God You're Here' eps on the reg because they never fail to make me crack up.
  33. 😂 Watch stand-up comedy shows: Speaking of laughing, whether it's live or from the comfort of your own home, keep the laughter going by watching a comedy show.
  34. 🎸 Make time for old hobbies: Whether it's playing your guitar, writing, or kicking a footy around... make time for doing what you love.
  35. 🎨  And pick up new ones: Spice up life by learning new things! Capitalise on living in a time where the internet can teach you anything - a new language, pottery, an instrument, painting... anything.

Alright lads 'n lords, I hope you're feeling a lil' inspired and motivated to send it today, tomorrow, and every day after that.
