Discover CDU

CDU is a new world university built on social justice, sustainability, creativity and collective effort. CDU are a young, vibrant and internationally recognised for teaching and research. As a new world university, they think differently. They innovate and embrace change. They challenge conventions and look for better ways.

CDU is a dual-sector university, meaning they offer both higher education courses and degrees, as well as vocational education and training (VET) diploma and certificate qualifications. They have all the advantages of a dual-sector university including flexibility in study options – as a recognised leader in online education – creativity, adaptability, and freedom to embrace the history and traditions of First Australians and the multitude of nations represented by their international student population.

Why Choose CDU?

Ensuring their graduates are 'future-ready' is incredibly important to us; that's why CDU is ranked first for graduate salary and second for graduate employment in Australia. Times Higher Education also identifies CDU as one of an elite global group of ‘rising stars’ - a new generation of challenger universities rising in world rankings. CDU is also considered a leader in Indigenous education and each year CDU teaches over 4,000 Indigenous students in over 150 locations across the NT.

A Host of Different Study Options

They offer study options in Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Research in nine locations within Australia. Whether you're looking for somewhere close to home or a change of scenery, find out where CDU can take you.

They are a leader in flexible course delivery and you’ll have the choice to study your way online, on campus, full time or part-time. If you choose to study online, you’ll be able to study where and when it suits you, so it’s easy to fit around your life. And you don’t need to live away from their campuses to be an online student, so you can still take advantage of the flexibility online study offers.

Find A Pathway Into Your Dream Course

There are several pathways for admission into CDU - it's not all about your ATAR. One of these options is to study a VET course with CDU and develop industry-standard skills in your chosen area of study. And students who have completed a national qualification at Certificate IV or above meet the minimum entry requirements to most courses CDU – so you can continue into undergraduate course.

For students who don’t meet course entry requirements or need a hand to get into the swing of study, they offer a free Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP) or Preparation for Tertiary Success (PTS) for Indigenous students. These programs will help you to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence you’ll need to succeed at university and can be completed online or on-campus in as little as 16 weeks. Once completed, you’ll then meet the requirements to apply for entry to most CDU undergraduate degrees.
