If the red roses, romantic displays and Cupid paraphernalia are making you neg out, dw my dudes, you're not the only one.

Fine, I'll tell you, I am also as single as the night is dark and whilst that never bothers me, Valentine's Day can feel like a kick in the tummy. Like, can someone get me a box of chocolates and tell me I'm unreal too?

But do not fear! We're in this together and I'm going to share some things we can do on Valentine's Day on our own or with our mates because we're worth it. 💯

1. Take a cheeky adventure

Whether that be to a secluded beach, a waterfall, a jump rock or a museum, just get out there in the world and let nature or art distract you from the swarm of Instagram posts with hashtags like #couplegoals #relationshipthings. Go surfing, take a bushwalk, see a comedy show. And if you've got the money, go skydiving or something. Seriously, why not just send it? In fact, I might skydive. That's a real power move and is kinda quirky... right?

2. Treat yo'self

Buy a box of chocolates for yourself and have NO shame inhaling them whilst watching your fave flick. Purchase that spenno item of clothing you've been eyeing for ages. Get a fresh book and read that bad boy like there's no tomorrow.

Then it's time for some pampering. I'm talkin' a haircut, a moisturising face mask, a long bath, a manicure, even a massage.

Boys, jump on ya Xbox, PS5 or PC, gather the lads and get some games in without any interruption. Pure bliss.

3. Movie marathon

There is NO greater joy in this world than assembling some mates or fam members, buying waaaay too many snacks and watching movie after movie.

Whether they are from the same series (Harry Potter, Marvel Movies, Shrek... omg you could all dress up as Shrek characters as well. Oh man, I'm gonna do that), share a common genre, common actor or are just your all-time faves.

Any movie marathon is a guaranteed banger of a time.

4. Cheeky night out (or in)

Gather the other singletons, chuck on a fit and paint the town red. Go to a gig, a fancy restaurant or the pub and have a vibey time! If not out, have a games night at someone's place (grog optional). Make sure to bring a disposable camera for some classic pics too.

5. Talk to someone you love

I mean, it's the day of "love" right?!

You best believe I'll be ringing my 'rents and hanging out with my best friends. I'll be spoiling my doggos with kisses and telling each and every plant just how much it means to me.

So, let's have a good bloody day my beautiful single friends!
